Juneteenth Reflections

The 2025 Juneteenth Celebration was truly a fun fete! The corridors of the City of Austell's Threadmill Complex were lined with fabulously dressed people who came to enjoy the beautiful space, fellowship, and cultural celebration. Live entertainment and curated music from local DJ’s filled the atmosphere. Vendors lined both sides of the corridor, so we were able to greet guests as they stopped at our tables.

I shared mental health information with everyone who listened. Mental health encompasses freedom and well-being.

What made this event special were the fifteen people who provided their contact information and asked me to follow up so they could learn more about wellness. Two more people called me a few days after the event with additional inquiries! This is why community outreach is vital. Being in the community feeds my soul, as well. I enjoy uplifting people and increasing mental health awareness, and they share it right back in their enthusiasm for wellness! Thanks to all who stopped by the Social Concepts table!
