It’s so easy to talk about the importance of self-care, but putting it into practice is where the true work begins.

We wake up motivated to take care of ourselves, but as the day goes on, we get sidetracked. We find all the reasons why we can’t walk around the track, go to the gym, do shadow work, socialize and engage with like-minded positive energies, clean up our environment (home, office, community), meditate and fast, congregate in faith, seek a career (not just a job), take a class to increase our knowledge or seek professional advice to meet our financial goals.

Taking care of ourselves also includes addressing mental health crises, the need to resolve trauma, needing to cope with an unexpected and stressful situation, or just eliminating toxic behaviors.

I know some people feel that therapy is unnecessary, however, I’m in Talk Therapy every time I’m in a session with a client, talking with my husband, family and friends, including parenting. My daily work involves learning from beautiful souls who strive to be their best selves and seeks an accountability partner in a safe and supportive environment. My people are committed to increasing their wellness, their divine intellect, and skill activation (coping skills).

There are 8 dimensions to our Wellness that we should consider in caring for ourselves, but many of us may have a block that may or may not be related to a mental health diagnosis.  We need to be more intentional about embracing the better version of ourselves, rather than feeling hopeless or lacking the will to try.

So, whether you choose to seek support from a therapist, pastoral counselor, light worker, or spiritualist, we still need to rid ourselves of these parasites that are holding us back from being intentional and activating our best selves.

Your divine codes are waiting for you, so start your journey today and Join the Wellness Movement!
