Cobb Collaborative PCA Cobb: Supporting Children & Families

The Cobb Collaborative event on April 16, 2025, was packed with great information.

Stakeholders came together to learn how to serve our clients better and be more impactful through data.

Beth is the Coordinator for Georgia Essentials for Childhood and Georgia’s Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Plan (CANPP), working with Positive Childhood Alliance Georgia (PCA GA) at Georgia State University’s Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health. Beth shared the focus of her work, noting, “Through this multidisciplinary initiative, I support collaboration and strengthen systems to help all Georgians promote healthy, nurturing, and stable environments where families can thrive.”

Grace became the Program Manager and Principal Investigator for the Injury Prevention Program’s Essentials for Childhood: Preventing ACEs Through Data to Action cooperative agreement at the Georgia Department of Public Health. She provided a behind-the-scenes look at how they collaborate with statisticians and other vital people to gather pertinent data from multiple data sources, pooling it all together to create a massive data hub.

I look forward to obtaining more information so that I can work with other collaborators to create programming that can transform communities.
